booking a space

How does booking work?
Open a listing, pick a day and the hours you want, and you see the total with GST before you pay. Hours already taken are greyed out. Pay by card, UPI or wallet through Razorpay.
Is my booking confirmed immediately?
On listings marked instant, yes: the moment you pay, the host's calendar is blocked and the address is sent to you. Others ask the host first. The host has 24 hours to say yes; if they decline or don't reply, you get every rupee back automatically.
How far ahead can I book?
At least 60 days. The calendar in the booking sheet shows exactly how far, and greys out anything beyond it.
Is there a booking fee?
No. You pay the hourly rate times the hours, plus 18% GST shown as a separate line. Nothing is added at the end.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from your account. Each listing shows its cancellation policy up front: flexible, moderate or strict. The refund is calculated from that policy and the time left before your slot, GST refunded in the same proportion, and it goes back to the card or UPI you paid with.
What if the host cancels on me?
You get a full refund, whatever the policy says, and we hear about it.
Do I need an account?
Yes, but no password. We email or text you a code. Your bookings and tickets live under that one account.

listing your space

What does it cost to list?
Nothing. Listing, the calendar, your booking page and your direct link are free. Koodam takes 12% of the room charge only when a booking is paid through the marketplace, and 0% when a guest books through your own link or QR card.
When and how do I get paid?
Two days after each booking ends, straight to your bank account through Razorpay Route, with a statement per payout and a GST-ready invoice per booking. You verify your PAN and bank once.
Do I have to accept every booking?
No. Switch on instant book and guests are confirmed when they pay, or keep approval on and accept or decline from the WhatsApp or email we send. You have 24 hours.
Can I block time for my own use?
Yes. Block any hours from your dashboard and they vanish from the booking sheet. Weekday opening hours and weekend rates are set once in the wizard.
How long does review take?
Usually within a day. We check the photos are of the real room and the basics are filled in. You get a message either way.
Can I list more than one room?
Yes. Each room is its own listing with its own calendar, price and policy.

koothu · tickets and shows

What is Koothu?
The events side of Koodam. Open mics, gigs, comedy, screenings and workshops in the same rooms, with QR tickets. No booking fee for buyers.
How do I get my tickets?
The moment you pay you get a tickets page with one QR per seat, plus the same on email and WhatsApp. Show the QR at the door.
What if the show is cancelled?
Every paid ticket is refunded in full automatically, and you get a message saying so.
Can I sell tickets to my own show?
Yes. Sign in, pick a venue, set your tiers, and publish. If you host the venue it goes on sale immediately; otherwise we take a quick look first. The organiser fee is 8%.
